“Prabhakar Kadapa is a post graduate engineer in Mechanical engineering with a management qualification from INSEAD, France/Singapore. He has put up an industrial experience of over 39 years, out of which 18 years are in senior leadership and general management positions. He served as CEO & MD of 4 different companies in preceding 16 years and was on board of respective companies. Presently, Prabhakar is serving as Independent Director on the Board of Rico Auto Industries & as Non-Executive Director with Rico Jinfei Wheels Ltd. In the recent past, he served as Director on board of E-Trio Automobiles, an electric mobility service provider. He is a member on Independent Director’s data bank of Indian Institute of corporate affairs under aegis of MCA and Fellow of Institute of Directors (F- IOD).

After completing Masters’ degree, Prabhakar has started his career in design function and gradually moved to manufacturing, Strategy, Product planning, Project and Program management, Business development functions before overseeing the business operations of multi- locational entity. As part of his operational responsibility, set up three green field ventures to deliver world class Quality and cost goals. He handled two major restructuring programs to turn around business operations into profitable and sustainable. Prabhakar handled interesting programs such as Lean, TPM and Deming award journey for building resilience of organizations.

During the time, set up two Joint ventures, one in Russia and one in India and led acquisition activity in Europe, managed as lead director for 5 years. His experiences spanning into sectors Viz, Automobile & Auto components, Farm equipment, Construction & Mining equipment, Appliance & precision engineering. Prabhakar travelled extensively to overseas locations in USA, EU, china and Japan for business development, technology transfer and to manage customer relationships.

Prabhakar’s major area of interest is in Product development, operational excellence, international business development, Strategy & BPR with deep expertise in conceptualization to execution. Some of the esteemed organizations where he served are MICO BOSCH, M&M, Tecumseh, JCB India, Delphi, AVTEC ( CK Birla group) and PSA AVTEC.
